Sara Wahedi is the Chief Executive Officer of Civaam, a civic-tech startup dedicated to developing innovative technological solutions for crisis-affected regions. She previously interned with Apple’s Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AIML) team, where she worked on user-centered design projects in Cupertino and Seattle. Her work in leveraging technology for social impact has earned her international recognition, including TIME Magazine's Next Generation Leader, MIT Technology Review’s Innovators Under 35, and Forbes’ 30 Under 30.

Wahedi is also the founder of Ehtesab, a real-time crisis alert platform designed to provide verified updates on security, infrastructure, and emergency incidents in Kabul, Afghanistan. Inspired by her firsthand experience with conflict, she created Ehtesab to bridge the information gap in high-risk environments. Under her leadership, the platform has become a critical resource for residents seeking timely and reliable updates in a rapidly evolving landscape.
