Abbas Sibai
Abbas Sibai is a business and program development specialist who aims to engage the private sector with the sustainable development goals agenda.
He is people-skilled and can network and match stakeholders from various sectors. Over the last ten years, he has worked as co-founder, projects manager, corporate engagement coordinator, trainer, and campaigner on topics that range from youth empowerment to tobacco control, cultural advocacy, and peacebuilding.
He holds a Master of Global Public Policy from the Russian Presidential Academy (RANEPA) in Moscow, an Executive Education degree in Organizational Leadership from Maxwell School (Syracuse University, NY), and a Bachelor of Business administration in banking & finance and a minor in Social Work from the Lebanese American University (LAU) in Beirut.
He also was a fellow at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, Ambassador for Peace from the Universal Peace Federation and the Torch Award holder from the LAU to honour his dedication and outstanding leadership.
He is an active Rotary Club member, a Global Shapers part of the World Economic Forum, Vice President of the Middle East Partnership Initiative Lebanon Alumni Association (MEPI LAA), a member of the U.S. Department of State Alumni, and Co-founder of Aie Serve and Live Love, a social enterprise working on cultural advocacy in Lebanon.
As an avid traveller who has visited more than 35 countries, he is culturally impressed with Lebanon, the United States, and the Russian Federation.
